Our calling is not unique (although the specific application of the calling to our lives is unique!), it is based upon the instruction which Jesus left to each one of us (as believers):

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

We feel the Lord has called us to share with others:

• in our Jerusalem and Judea
  • we have been blessed to serve through our local church, to witness to neighbors and coworkers (praise the Lord for hearts that were receptive!), and through Bible study with new believers and those seeking salvation
• in Samaria
  • it has been exciting to be able to share in local churches across the nation as we have had opportunities. As we travel our goal is to share with each and every person we meet, through the spoken word and through tracts.
• and now, (literally) unto the uttermost part of the earth
  • tribal outreach in Indonesia

To be a little bit more specific about the "uttermost part of the earth" calling, our long-term goal is to help start (plant) local churches among the tribal people of Papua (Indonesia). Our current plans (Lord willing) are to:

• Move to Indonesia and begin learning the national (trade) language and culture (Fall of 2005)
• Move into a tribe in Papua, construct a house, begin building relationships and learning their language (possibly Spring~Summer 2007)
• Prepare materials for teaching literacy, translating Scripture, and making Bible lessons
• Teach the tribal people literacy and train some to take over the literacy program
• Teach them the truths of the Bible
• Start a New Testament Church and build up new believers in the Word
• Leave an indigenous tribal Church that is self-governing, self-supporting, and self-propagating (i.e., sharing with them Christ's command to all believers to be sharing the Good News with others)

Those of you that know us are well aware that we are normal, regular people that have been saved from our sin (and an eternity in hell!) by the blood of Jesus and now desire to live as Jesus directs us (which is why we need prayer support - please, pray for us!). We want to encourage every believer that is visiting our site to be actively sharing Jesus with those that are around them! It is important that we all be openly confessing Jesus with our mouths:

Romans 10:9-10 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Sharing Jesus is something you can do! If you are afraid to witness, or haven't been sharing the Lord with others, we would encourage you to spend some time in the Word and see what the Lord might have for you.

Luke 9:26 - "For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels."

Ask the Lord to guide you, and then share with those around you - you'll be amazed at what the Lord will do in your life! Who knows, as you begin sharing in your Jerusalem and Judea, He might call you to share in Samaria and even unto the uttermost parts of the earth!
